What I think about at night

As long as the people are afraid they shut up. They give card Blanche to more surveillance and accept violation of there civil rights, because there afraid. It is funny how every time the ratings for War on terrorism goes down, they beef up security somewhere. Coincidental?

"oh yes that is right -sorry we forgot to be afraid - please continue on the road to the 3ed world war now that we just remembered what will happen to us, if we go soft."

At night there is enough silence for me to think. Thinking -the questions pop up.
Why is every media showing me something I have to fear? Are there more terrorist attacks now then 20 years ago? Are they worse? What are the odds that a person living in small town, small country will have a Boeing 747 flown into there town hall? Will a general surveillance make us sleep better at night? Who are they watching? Is it racist only watching the Muslim communities? ...or is it just everybody?
Terrorism is so convenient for all the wrong purposes.

"It's almost as though our security is most threatened in even-numbered years."

Enemies have always been convenient to defend the tightening of the screw. The only way to be safe is to make everyone safe, and good fences have always, always made bad neighbours.

Having open arms removes the needs for fences.
just to stay with the fence thought, Right now it seems as if we are putting up the fence in our neighbors yard and we tell him it is to protect himself against his kids trowing stuff into our yard! what a load of crap!
Let us face it we can NEVER foil all terrorist plots -and even IF we could we should consider at what cost!
Look at my new post on increased state employee attacks. In my mind there is a connection. A detachment from society = higher threat of terrorism.
All in the name of making that extra buck.
