The South Harbour Sanctuary part I
A series of big office buildings were put up by the waterfront in the late 80ies and early 90ies including companies like Sonofon, Noika, Daimler Chrysler and Ericsson.
The road going pass the area is: South Harbour Street. South Harbour Street (Shown on the photo) is properly the most heavily trafficked road in all of Copenhagen.
It is the main road for west and south Sealand
and Sweden (Malmö) form the center of Copenhagen. A heavy trafficked road like this has the ability to create an imaginary impenetrable wall.
As a pedestrian or cyclist you don’t really want to go/pass places like this unless you have to. Since there is nobody living in this area either -the result is that there is completely no life after office hours. Once you pass South Harbour Street your all by yourself!
This is the “entrance” to Brickworks Harbour or Teglværkshavnen as it is called in Danish. The pictures shows the view just 20 yards/meters after I passed the road.
